VISUAL SEQUENTIAL NARRTIVE

For my narrative, I want to explore the idea of being crushed and the energy that is pushed into a hole can give you when trying to fight back. The evolutions of the can be crushed over time and me in a random steam tower in my hometown. I want to add hands balling up and eyes that are wide open.

  1. Whoa! This is so sick. I love the depth of the black hole, its a really interesting illusion. I love the curvy lines in the background.

  2. Cool stuff! Like Luci said, that black hole is a cool illusion. I like the idea of the energy radiating out of the black hole, some great visual narrative aspects there!

  3. I like the idea a lot!! It actually helped me get a jump on my project! Your idea is so unique, and I really like the way you're using specific items like the can to symbolize a feeling, etc.

  4. The patterns that you are playing with, within this piece are really interesting and almost draw you into that black hole. I love how well everything is blending so far and there's some nice contrast in the super colorful pastels and the dark shadows.

  5. Very techy. I like the lines but they remind me of thumbprints. It's a cool effect, but can draw attention away from everything else. The colors are also light and airy, so maybe try finding colors that are more crushing and pressing. I don't know, it just gives off a very light and airy feeling.

  6. Hi, Abigail. I really like your concept. This feeling is familiar. I think the figure looking up into the chaos really implies the feeling of being stuck. I think how you've subdued the winding lines in the second image is a bit more effective. They're still there, just not as dominant.

Forest on Fire

I took some of the advice and blended the deers a bit more in with the trees! In a weird way I enjoy the chaos of the image.  A commentary on the destruction of the mountains and how there is a need for change. I am combining some of the objects that I found around campus on the ground. I want texture to be a main factor in my final project.

Assignment 2 Dolly Parton

So far for this assignment, I want to go with Dolly Parton and see what else I can do! I want to go with an older iconic photo and I might overlap on with her preforming or have some cool pink and purple over-laping. Not really sure what I want to do yet.
