I took some of the advice and blended the deers a bit more in with the trees! In a weird way I enjoy the chaos of the image.
A commentary on the destruction of the mountains and how there is a need for change. I am combining some of the objects that I found around campus on the ground. I want texture to be a main factor in my final project.
wow, I love the way this is looking so far!! All of the imagery fits together well, and it also looks well balanced. I think the deer are a cool focal point, but since there's two, it feels a bit competitive. I'm really interested in how its going to end!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy the contrast of viewpoints from the top two thirds to the bottom third of the image. All of the elements and images combined together make a very rich composition! The fire blended with the deer give the image a sort of sinister feeling, which I think fits your commentary on the destruction of the mountains.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy the intense color and saturation in this piece! I think it would be cool if there was more mirroring in the piece, like with the deer so it all feels cohesive. Although I really love the different items at the bottom and how they're blended in.
ReplyDeleteGreat texture here, and really nice contrast from the bottom to the top of the image. TO Luci's point, having two deer does create some competitiveness for where to look, but that's not to say its a bad thing. I'd be interested to see how this would look with a more monochromatic, sinister color scheme (some reds/oranges like the fire) to make it more imposing and play with the viewer's emotions a bit.
ReplyDeleteThis piece feels very powerful and has an understandable message about the human impact on nature. It has a lot of texture and rich colors that are working together really well on the bottom half of the page. The only suggestion I have so far is maybe blending in the deer more with the trees as if they are apart of them or layering something on top to blend them in better to make them connect better within the piece. Great work so far!
